In 1945 Walter Börkey invented the world's first modern machine roller skate.

Mass production of the rollers started in in 1951 in Hagen, Germany and over the last 70+ years Börkey imroved and expanded its product line using the latest design and manufacturing technologies.

Today Börkey is owned and operated by the 4th Generation of the Börkey family and the products are still engineered and manufactured in Germany.

With skates offered and built in nearly every size and capacity, Börkey has solutions for a wide variety of industries ranging from machine transports and maintenance to oil & mining, shipbuilding, to aerospace and nuclear power.
